This family-run, beachfront hotel ticks all the boxes, including being great value for money. It’s no wonder it is one of our best sellers.
Set beside the golden sands of Calangute Beach, this resort is popular with repeat customers. Is it the beachside location, the tranquil flower-filled setting, the views at sunset or the beachside restaurant that draws people back year after year? It’s all this and more.
Here’s why we think Chalston Beach Resort is a great choice for your next holiday.
Why choose to spend your holiday at Chalston Beach Resort?
1. The location
With gardens leading right down to the sand with plenty of sunloungers and parasols, Chalston Beach Resort is one of the few value-for-money hotels in Goa with such a sought-after location by the beach.
2. The friendly welcome
This family-run hotel offers a warm welcome from the friendly, well-trained staff and thoughtful owners, Maria and Chalston.
3. The peaceful grounds
Manicured lawns and gardens with colourful hibiscus flowers, tumbling bougainvillea and palm trees offer a tranquil and peaceful setting, perfect for relaxing in with a good book and your favourite beverage.
4. The beachside restaurant
Centrally located, it’s just a short walk to the shops, bars and restaurants of Calangute. However, you may simply prefer to stay and eat in at the hotel’s beachside restaurant. It has a great reputation and is popular with residents and non-residents alike – it’s the perfect location for watching the sunset, as it dips behind the Arabian Sea.
5. Value for money
With seven-night package holidays from just £894pp, the Chalston Beach Resort is great value for money. This price includes a 20kg luggage allowance and in-flight meals, plus airport transfers. You may also find our resort team useful, on hand to help whenever you require, and you can brush up on your destination knowledge before you travel via our free Goa destination guide, which comes with your ticket pack.
Why choose Calangute?
In contrast to the tranquil grounds of the hotel, you don’t have to venture far for a livelier atmosphere. Calangute Beach offers a range of water sports and plenty of colourful beach shacks selling food, drink and souvenirs. To the north, Baga Beach, famous for its party atmosphere, is about a 10-minute walk away, while the quieter Candolim Beach is just a couple of miles to the south.

In Calangute itself, the stunning white church of St Alex is about a 25-minute walk from the hotel. Built in 1741 by the Catholic community of Calangute, it’s a tranquil place to visit, away from the hustle and bustle of the main resort.
Calangute market is held every Saturday in the main square, featuring tasty street food and a range of crafts. There’s also a Tibetan market on Baga Road which is a must for jewellery lovers, with many beautiful beaded and silver designs. Prices start high so don’t forget to haggle!
For those wishing to explore further afield, we offer a range of excursions showcasing the best of Goa; from the deserted beaches and historical sites of the south, the spice plantations, waterfalls and wildlife of the interior, to extended overnight stays beyond Goa’s borders.
