Visa Requirements

As well as a full British passport valid for at least six months after the planned date of return from your holiday, all British citizens are required to have a visa when travelling to India.

The E-visa service* has been restored and you can apply for certain categories of visas online. Check that you are eligible before you apply and apply in good time. Visit the Government of India’s e-Visa website for details. 

*Manohar International Airport (Mopa) has now been added to the list of authorised airports/entry points which are accepting the e-visa.

Using a visa agent
