Imagine panoramic landscapes and refreshing water finished off with warm Indian sunshine... Need we say more?
If one of your favourite holiday pastimes is to laze around / in a hotel swimming pool, we’ve got it covered. Let us guide you through our top 5 swimming pools in Goa, where not only will you get the refreshing water of a pool that you crave, but some fabulous views and glorious weather to go along with it.
#1 Alila Diwa
Looking almost as if it’s spilling directly out of the hotel grounds, the pool at Alila Diwa tops our list for three reasons. One, it’s a beautifully designed infinity pool, two, there’s fantastic views over rice paddies and coconut groves, and three, it’s got a shallow tanning area with sun loungers in the pool. If the words alone aren’t enough to tempt you, here are some of our favourite photographs…
#2 Park Hyatt
Our second favourite has to be the Park Hyatt Goa Resort & Spa. This three-level pool is designed to look like twisting lagoons which meander through the centre of the hotel, which also provides a calming tropical feel. Being India’s largest free-form swimming pool there’s definitely no shortage of space, and there’s some beautiful reflections to be seen in the water during the evening.
#3 Nilaya Hermitage
For us, Nilaya Hermitage is all about tranquility and superb views. The perfect place for a couple to completely relax, the pool benefits from exotic jungle vistas due to its elevated position. It feels very secluded and sheltered, so if your calling is a ‘get away from it all’ experience with a great pool, Nilaya is one to consider. Here’s what you can expect…
Coming in at number four is Wildernest, where a natural setting and plunging infinity pool gets this pool in our top five. Imagine verdant green valleys, distant waterfalls and the faint calls of the birds and wildlife that live close by and you’ve got yourself an afternoon by the pool in a beautiful yet rare setting.
#5 Acron Waterfront Resort
Last but certainly not least is the riverside infinity pool at Acron Waterfront Resort. Watching the local fishing boats come in along Baga River with their catch of the day along with the pink and orange hues of the sunset qualify this swimming pool as one of our favourites. Sunbeds within the pool also offer the opportunity for a quick and easy cool off in the water when you need a short break from the heat of the Indian sunshine.
If any of these pools sound tempting, you can find out more about each hotel on our website, or if you’d prefer to talk to someone directly, our reservations teams are more than happy to answer any questions, on 01489 866986.
