In March 2024, a group of Goa Experience team members headed to the Indian state on an educational trip. They discovered a stunning beach destination that is also packed with culture and history.
As destination specialists, we believe in giving the team at Goa Experience a chance to experience the destination first-hand and to see our property collection in person. This helps them gain valuable knowledge, to assist our customers in creating the ideal holiday itinerary!
Of all the regions in Goa, Charlotte from our sales team enjoyed Candolim the most. “It is the perfect area, that has everything you need for a fantastic holiday.” Candolim is a beach lovers’ paradise, boasting one of the longest stretches of sand in the state, the calm and relaxing setting is just what you need for an idyllic holiday. ‘There are lots of sunbeds and beach shacks for refreshments to choose from, but with plenty of quiet areas to be found.” says Charlotte.
The group encountered many friendly locals, who made the trip feel truly special. The warmth and hospitality of the Goan people is something to look forward to when planning a trip to Goa, they are keen to show you their home, local traditions and customs and ensure that tourists have a lovely time.
As you explore the area away from the waterfront you will come across dunes leading you to the main Candolim-Calangute road. Here, there is an extensive mix of restaurants to dine in, creating a hustle and bustle of tourists. Charlotte adds that walking around the area at night also feels very safe. There are plenty of bars, souvenir stalls and some fantastic hotels.
In Candolim, Santana Beach Resort stood out for the team as a great value-for-money hotel with a beautiful backdrop of lush gardens and a beachfront location. Santana is a family-run hotel, with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Discover Santana Beach Resort here.
