Discover Goan heritage…
A stay at Casa Anjuna is like stepping back in time. As you wander through this hotel you’ll soon discover a whole host of beautiful antiques and soft furnishings, providing such a welcoming atmosphere that it feels like you are staying in someone’s home rather than a hotel. The peaceful tropical gardens, complete with hibiscus and swaying palms offer the perfect setting to get lost in your favourite book, and the tranquil pool area enjoys plenty of sunshine for when you want to top up your tan whilst enjoying a cooling dip in the water.
Each of Casa Anjuna’s guest rooms are simply equipped and uniquely decorated, with four-poster beds and lots of personal touches, giving each room its own charm and character.
Exploring Anjuna & its eclectic market
Just a short walk from the hotel is the centre of Anjuna village, where you’ll find a number or restaurants, shops and crafts stalls, as well as the famous Anjuna Flea Market. Held every Wednesday in a coconut plantation from morning until dusk, this colourful tourist bazaar was originally started by hippies in the 60s, and has now become one of the most popular markets in the state. We highly recommend you pay a visit to soak up the wonderful atmosphere and barter with the stall owners for a souvenir or two.
Anjuna Beach is also only around a mile away from Casa Anjuna, where you’ll discover coves of golden sand backed by colourful beach shacks. Its more rugged neighbours, Vagator and Ozran are also within easy reach, as is the Chapora Fort, a laterite bastion built by the Portuguese in the 17th century – another one not to miss.
Our Expert Opinion
"This is the perfect place to relax, unwind and do very little. Take a stroll into nearby Anjuna for a bite to eat or a tuk-tuk to the nearby coves of golden sand."
