Blog > Twin-centre holidays in Goa

Why not embark on a new kind of adventure by staying at two different hotels during your Goa holiday? Our tailor-made twin-centres allow you to explore different parts of Goa during the same holiday.

With the opportunity to get stuck into the hustle and bustle of the north of Goa, yet also experience the laid-back vibes of the south, our Goa multi centre holidays provide the perfect opportunity to help you get the most out of your experience. We've got some exciting pre-designed holiday ideas, but you can also give us a call to choose your own itinerary if you wish - that's the beauty of these holidays being tailormade!

Let us tell you about two of our favourite twin-centre holidays to Goa which explore the north and south, one of which is brand new and will be available on the website soon. If you would like to book a tailor-made holiday, give our reservations team a call on 01489 866986 and they'd be more than happy to help.

1. 14 nights North & South Goa

An escape bathed in luxury staying at two Taj group hotels

If you love the idea of experiencing Goa's famously eclectic north and relaxing south and doing it in style, then this is the holiday for you. Spending seven nights at the Taj Exotica followed by another seven at the Taj Holiday Village, you'll get to experience two five-star resorts in superb locations - Benaulim and Sinquerim.

Taj Exotica & Benaulim

The Taj Exotica is one of our most luxurious hotels, boasting colonial architecture, huge grounds and a prime beachfront location. The gardens are filled with coconut palms and tropical flowers, and the variety of facilities on offer are enough to satisfy even the most discerning of holidaymaker. Benaulim is a charming, peaceful fishing village in the south, boasting a white sandy beach where you can enjoy a boat trip to do some dolphin spotting, but it's also renowned for its fantastically fresh seafood, so be sure to try some!

Taj Holiday Village & Sinquerim

Plush tropical grounds give way to a gorgeous expanse of beach, where guests can enjoy views of Fort Aguada or take a stroll down the sands and explore the smattering of beach shacks along the coast. Staying in stunning cottages reminiscent of Goa's Portuguese past, you'll enjoy a private base, but also be able to take advantage of the large variety of facilities and activities which are offered here. Sinquerim itself was the first resort to be developed for tourism, however it's quieter than its neighbours, Calangute and Candolim. It's a great introduction to North Goa and a wonderful choice for beach lovers, as the golden sands extend for miles along the coast.

2. 14 nights North & South Goa

A fantastic budget twin-centre for holidaymakers

Our brand-new holiday idea and perfect for those looking to explore Goa without breaking the bank, guests will get to split 14 nights between two of our most popular hotels - Sao Domingo's and Santana Beach Resort.

Sao Domingo's & Cavelossim

A simple, friendly and family-run hotel in the heart of Cavelossim in South Goa, holidaymakers are sure to appreciate this hotel's superb location for exploring the glorious sandy beaches in the south. The secluded pool area is also perfect for those wishing to stay closer to home, but with just a short walk to the village and magnificent beach, it's well worth heading out and doing some exploring. Cavelossim is a sleepy fishing village perfectly portraying the laid-back vibe for which the south is best known, and this same atmosphere continues along the sands. With just a small selection of shops, eateries and bars, you can sit back, relax and soak up the Goan sunshine.

Santana Beach Resort & Candolim

Your seven nights at Santana Beach Resort will be just as rewarding, although you'll get a fantastic insight into the bustling region of North Goa. This property is our most popular, and for good reason. It's meandering grounds are filled with tropical flowers and plush coconut palms, with two pools, two restaurants and small blocks of Portuguese-style houses scattered throughout. You're just 100m from the shops and beach, where the hotel owns a well-known beach shack - Calamari - ideal for lunchtime refreshments. Candolim itself is home to one of the longest beaches in the state, and there's a great selection of beach shacks along the sand, and just behind the Candolim-Calangute road, which altogether boast a fantastic variety of food, drinks, souvenirs and more.

Day 1: Departing Goa for Delhi our representative will meet you in the arrivals area of the airport. They will assist with your private transfer to your Delhi hotel which will be your base for two nights.

Day 2: This morning, you will depart Delhi railway staion to Agra. Once a small village on the banks of the Yamuna, it was transformed by two great Mughal monarchs, Akbar and his grandson Shah Jehan into the second capital of the Mughal Empire, Dar-ul-Khilafat, or ‘seat of the Emperor’ in the 16th and 17th century.

Taj Mahal

When you arrive in Agra you will be met by our representative who will introduce you to your guide who will take you to Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays). On the inner walls, jewel-like stones create beautiful designs in white marble. The Mughals perfected the art of embedding semi-precious stones into marble and the Taj is the finest example of this special process called pietra dura. It begins with a marble plate, varying in size. Then jewels are sliced paper thin and embedded in the marble with such precision that the joints are invisible to the naked eye. Continue for a visit to the Agra Fort, a walled city constructed of red stone which was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1983. Construction of the fort was originally started by Emperor Akbar in 1565, but his son, Jahangir, and grandson, Shah Jahan, later made valuable additions to it.

You will also visit Itmad ud Daula, also known as Baby Taj. This tomb was built in 1622 for Ghiyas Beg, father of Empress Noor-Jahan, the wife of Emperor Jahangir. It is beautifully conceived in white marble, mosaic and lattice and set a precedent as the first Mughal building to be faced with white marble inlaid with contrasting stones.

Later, you will be driven back to Agra Cantt railway station, where you will board your train back to Delhi.

Day 3: After breakfast, proceed for the orientation city tour of Old and New Delhi including a visit of the 17th-century Jama Masjid and enjoy a rickshaw ride through the narrow, winding lanes of colourful and bustling Chandni Chowk. Stop in front of the Mughal Empire’s most opulent fort, the Red Fort for a photo opportunity.

Later proceed to New Delhi where you will be taken for a drive past the Presidential Palace, the one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys, the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of fallen Indian soldiers and a drive along the Rajpath past the Parliament House and secretarial buildings. You will also visit Qutab Minar, the 12th-century tower of victory built by a slave king and prototype of all minars (towers) in India.

After the tour you will be transferred to Delhi Airport to board your short flight back to Goa.
